Comfortable, the "hood" doesn't get in the way but provides nice protection. Even in the cold Scandinavia works very well, acts as lightweight windprotection between seasons! 5/5 would recommend.

Just received the Legionnaire hat and wore it in an ultra. Had tons of compliments on how it looks, but the function is what got me so stoked on it. This was a desert 100k in the heat and the hat kept me cool and protected from the sun. I have a large head (7 & 5/8th’s in a 59-50 fitted hat) and ordered the large size, it fit great. Form and function! Sold on this brand and plan to order another hat that doesn’t have the flaps as well. The quality seems really great and despite the fabric on the sides actually makes you run cooler than without it. The flat bill is really large and helps protect the face from the sun. Good job Fractel guys on designing this and getting it to market!
